Cosmetic eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) is a surgical procedure which is done to improve the appearance of the upper or lower eyelids. For most people, the purpose for having cosmetic eyelid surgery is create a younger, more alert appearance. It can also be done to restore vision by removing obstructive tissue from sagging eyelids.
