Research Notes on Contributing Factors for Overactive Bladder
Contributing factors for overactive bladder, also called urinary incontinence, vary depending on the type of overactive bladder a person has. Contributing factors may include nerve damage, bladder stones, side effects of medication, a neurological disease, or bladder or prostate cancer.1 Overactive bladder is not a disease in and of itself, but rather a symptom of an underlying condition.2
