Research Notes on Congenital Malformations
Congenital malformation is a leading cause of mortality or disability among infants. An abnormality of a body part can cause significant problems in a growing child. Early diagnosis and intervention are important to improve the child's quality of life. Management of the condition can greatly decrease the possible deleterious consequences of these defects, thus helping the child grow up with the greatest possibility of normal functioning.
