It is an extended-release tablet that is available in 18 mg, 27 mg, 36 mg, and 54 mg. The recommended starting dose for children new to Concerta is 18 mg and between 18 mg to 36 mg for adults daily.2 This medication may be habit-forming and should be taken as prescribed by health care professional.3
