Although thousands of Americans suffer from the common cold yearly, there is no cure.1 Treatment is limited to easing the symptoms which arise from the cold.1 The common cold will typically resolve itself in about seven days.1

- Children under the age of 12 should never be given aspirin.2
- Salt water drops in the nostrils can relief a stuffy nose.2
- Humidifiers can increase air moisture, and petroleum jelly under the nose can soothe rawness.2
