Research Notes on Colon Cancer Prevention
Colon cancer is one of the most common, but preventable, cancers. The majority of colon cancers start out as a polyp. Polyps are commonly removed in the pre-malignant state thus preventing the development of colon cancer.1
Fast Facts:
- If you are over the age of 50, schedule a colon cancer screening.2
- Eat a diet high in fiber and maintain a healthy weight (obese men are at a higher risk of developing this cancer).2
- Learn your family's medical history and consider genetic testing if cancer runs in your family.2
