Research Notes on Coastal Harbor Treatment Center
Coastal Harbor Treatment Center is a 132-bed psychiatric health facility located in Savannah, Georgia. The hospital was originally built in 1984 by the Charter Corporation with the purpose of treating mental health and substance abuse problems in both adults and children. In 2006 to 2007, the hospital had a massive renovation in order to cope with the changing needs of the community. At present, the hospital offers an intensive and highly structured residential or long-term treatment program for children and adolescents with chronic psychiatric illnesses and behavioral health needs.1
