Research Notes on Clobetasol Side Effects
The most common side effect of clobetasol include a burning, stinging, itching, or dryness at the application site. The skin may become red after clobetasol application as well, but this should be a temporary effect. If any of these side effects continue after several days, appear to get worse, or if the treated area becomes painful, discontinue use and contact your physician or pharmacist at once.1

- Any signs of an allergic reaction (hives, difficulty breathing, or swelling of the lips, tongue, throat or face) require emergency medical treatment.2
- Blurred vision, insomnia, fatigue, and weight gain are also rare, but possible side effects.2
- Clobetasol is a topical medication that is used in the treatment of skin conditions such as psoriasis and eczema.3
