Claw hand refers to curved or bent fingers. This makes the had look like an animal claw. Nerve damage can cause claw hand, or it can be a congenital birth defect.1

- Other causes may include Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, angiokeratoma, and arthrogryposis.2
- Test may be ordered to determine what is causing the claw hand such as nerve conduction studies.1
