Research Notes on Chronic Pain Management
The goal of managing chronic pain is to obtain a more fulfilling, and productive life. Relaxation techniques such as deep breathing and stress management are important aspects of managing chronic pain. Joining a chronic pain support group can allow you to learn new techniques for managing pain and can also make you fell less alone. Exercising regularly is another great tool in managing chronic pain. Along with strengthening the muscles that cause you discomfort, exercise also increases endorphins that improve your mood and block pain signals.1
