One example of osteoma is Choroidal Osteoma, where bone-like tumors arise within the blood-vessel layer "choroid" beneath the retina. The tumors may impede the blood flow going to the retina and the optic nerve; thus, loss of vision can occur. The condition is usually treated with laser, although, it can cause a small blind spot; nevertheless, central vision is preserved.
