Research Notes on Chlorobi
Chlorobi is a type of bacteria that is better known as green sulfur bacteria.1 The name chlorobi is also phylum name of this bacterium.1 It has been known to grow off the coast of Mexico 2,500 meters below the surface of the ocean.1

- There are no other bacteria known to be closely related to it.2
- The cells of this bacterium comes in sphere, rod, and spiral shapes.2
- Also known as “green sulfur” and “chlorobiaceae”.3
