In 1897 the idea for a children’s hospital in Colorado was inspired by Dr. Minnie C.T. Love. Founded in 1908 in Denver, Colorado, The Children’s Hospital set out to be a leader in providing the best health care outcomes for children.
As a private, not-for-profit pediatric health care network, The Children’s Hospital is dedicated to caring for kids of all ages and stages of growth.

The Children’s Hospital provides complete pediatric care at its main campus and through a network that includes two emergency locations, three community based after-hours care sites, nine specialty care centers and more than 400 outreach clinics held in three states every year.
The Children's Hospital have more than 1,000 pediatric specialists and more than 2,400 full-time employees.
Emergency doctors have had 3 extra years of training to become pediatric specialists.
The Children's Hospital is the only hospital in Colorado that can perform every procedure with equipment, including needles and x-ray machines, that has been designed for a child's size.
