In the past four decades, statistics of obesity in children has increased four times according to studies.1 According to the latest study by the National Health and Nutrition Examination, an estimated 16 percent of children and adolescents ages 6-19 years old are overweight.2 It also indicates that 70 percent of these children will be obese as adults.1
