The life expectancy for children with Juvenile Diabetes is usually less than 15 years than the average life span, even with insulin treatment. Because Juvenile Diabetes is difficult to manage and needs constant attention, the quality of life of the diabetic patient shortens. Studies on juvenile diabetes is still underway and many experiencing the disease are hopeful that one day a cure will be available to them.
