Research Notes on Chemotherapy and Insomnia
One of the side effects of chemotherapy is insomnia.1 Insomnia may be a direct result of the chemotherapy, stress, or other medications your doctor may have prescribed to treat other side effects from chemotherapy.2 There are many home remedies that you can try to help you sleep better while taking chemotherapy.1

- You should contact your doctor if the insomnia lasts longer than four weeks.2
- Refrain from eating or drinking caffeine after 3 p.m.2
- Remove distractions from your bedroom that may keep you from sleeping.1
