Research Notes on Chelation Therapy for Alzheimer's
Chelation therapy is thought to help improve mental functioning in people with the most severe cases of Alzheimer's. Alzheimer's is thought to be caused by a buildup of plaque in the brain, which includes the protein beta-amyloid. Researchers believe that chelation therapy dissolves the protein beta-amyloid and prevents it from accumulating in the brain.1
