Research Notes on Cervicitis
Inflammation of the tissues of the cervix is known as cervicitis. Cervicitis in women has many features in common with urethritis in men and many of the causes are sexually transmitted. Cervicitis can be caused by any of a number of infections, of which the most common are chlamydia and gonorrhea. ...read more from Wikipedia
Fast Facts:
- Other infections that may cause cervicitis are trichomonas vaginalis and herpes.
- Symptoms may include pain during intercourse, vaginal itching, and a bloody vaginal discharge.
- Treatment is not needed for cervictitis that is not caused by an STD.
