Research Notes on Central Pain Syndrome
Central pain syndrome is a neurological condition in which the body experiences pain due to damage of the central nervous system (CNS) such as a brain injury, spinal cord trauma, stroke, and Parkinson’s disease. The pain associated with the syndrome depends on the underlying causes, and differs widely among patients. Usually constant, the pain can worsen by touch, emotions, and temperature changes.
