Celiac disease is a disorder that causes problems in the intestines when you eat gluten. It damages the villi, a hair-like projection in the intestines which absorbs vitamins and minerals, hence, nutrients are eliminated. The exact cause of this is unknown and there is a tendency that it runs in the family.
