Overactive bladder can often interfere with a person's work, sexual function, and other daily routines. The most common cause of an overactive bladder include stroke, diabetes, multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer's disease, and Parkinson's disease.1 Other factors that can lead to an overactive bladder include poor kidney function, bladder stones, and a frequent intake of caffeine or alcohol.2
