Carotenemia

Carotenemia (also carotenodermia, carotenoderma, carotenosis or hypercarotenemia) is the yellow to yellow-orange discoloration of the skin most often caused by eating too many carrots. This condition is most commonly found in vegetarians as well as in young children. The discoloration occurs most often in the palms of the hands and the soles of the feet. Carotenemia is a benign condition and is easily resolved by discontinuing consumption of high quantities of carotene.
