Research Notes on Carboprost
Carboprost is an hormone-like substance; a form of a prostaglandin.1 It is utilized to treat severe postpartum hemorrhage. Additionally, it can be used between the thirteenth and twentieth weeks of pregnancy to produce and abortion by causing uterine contractions.1 It is often the method chosen when an alternate abortion choice has not successfully emptied the uterus.1
