According to research, an allergy to caffeine has been found to affect many people all over the world. A caffeine allergy is similar to substance abuse and tolerance. The more caffeine you intake, the more your body becomes tolerant to it, which can lead to an allergic reaction.1

- Symptoms of a caffeine allergy include mood swings, dizziness, delusions, agitation, and mania.2
- Caffeine can be found in many products such as tea, chocolate, soft drinks, pain relievers, diuretics, prescription drugs, cold remedies, weight control medications, and even in decaffeinated coffee.3
- A caffeine allergy can be diagnosed by your physician or allergist, based on the amount of caffeine you intake and your symptoms.4
