CT Scan

Research Notes on CT Scan

A CT scan -- computed tomography, sometimes called a CAT scan -- is a special type of x-ray. It is a painless non-invasive test to help diagnose and treat conditions such as cancers, cardiovascular disease, infectious diseases, internal bleeding and musculoskeletal disorders or broken bones.1 Unlike a regular x-ray, a CT scan takes cross sectional images, which give a three dimentional image of the inside of the body or head.
