Research Notes on Buspar Withdrawal
Buspar withdrawal is not a common occurrence. Sometimes, anxiolytic drugs can cause symptoms of irritability, anxiety, agitation, insomnia, tremors, abdominal cramps, flu-like symptoms without fever, and possibly seizures upon cessation of therapy. Follow your doctor's instructions regarding withdrawal from this medicine.1

- Buspar is used for treating anxiety disorders and for short-term relief of such things as anxiety.2
- If you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant during treatment tell your doctor.3
- Buspar should not be taken for longer than four weeks without your doctor’s advice.3
