Research Notes on Bullous Keratopathy
Bullous keratopathy is swelling of the cornea. Occasionally, bullous keratopathy occurs after eye surgery, such as cataract removal. Aphakic bullous keratopathy (ABK) is the term for the condition when the natural lens has been removed without implantation of an artificial lens, and pseudophakic bullous keratopathy (PBK) is the term for the condition when an artificial lens implant is present.
