The breast reduction procedure will leave scars, but some women have more tendencies to produce scar tissues than others. Women who smoke are more likely to heal slowly and develop prominent scars. The procedure can also leave one with slightly mismatched breasts or unevenly positioned nipples. Future breast feeding may not be possible, since the surgery removes many of the milk ducts leading to the nipples.
