Research Notes on Breast Cancer Tumors
A breast cancer tumor is mass of breast tissue that is growing in an abnormal, uncontrolled way. They are hard, have an irregular shape, and feel bumpy.

- Based on recent statistics, about 17 percent of women who were diagnosed with invasive breast cancer were in their 40s, and 78 percent of women with invasive breast cancer were older than 50.
- Breast cancer tumors can range in size from tiny to quite large.
- Breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in women in the United States.
