Bone cancer is a cancer that originates in the bone. It is a rare form of cancer. Less then 2500 Americans are diagnosed with it each year. It is most common in children.1 The cause of bone cancer is most often unknown.2
Fast Facts:
- Some forms of bone cancer appear to be hereditary.3
- Treatment with certain cancer drugs can make one at higher risk for osteosarcoma.4
- Risk factors themselves do not cause bone cancer but, may increase the chances of getting it.5
