Research Notes on Body Rocking
Body Rocking is a rhythmic action of rolling or swaying from side to side. It is normally a seemingly soothing movement, mostly seen in children from about 9 months to 4 years old. It can occur during the day, or during sleep. If the movements seem to interfere with a child's play or going to sleep, it is advised to see a doctor. Occasionally, it can be sign of a developmental concern, such as autism.
