Blepharoplasty is the reshaping of the upper or lower eyelid for functional or cosmetic purposes. As with any surgery, complications may occur after the procedure but these are rare, often minor and momentary. Patient's body responses and the surgeon's level of expertise may contribute to the outcome. Complications such as infection, bleeding, wound opening or asymmetry may occur after blepharoplasty.
