Research Notes on Birth Control Pills
Birth control pills are the oldest and most common prescription medication for birth control. There are a variety of options to choose from. "The Pill," as it is more commonly known, is taken every day for the entire month. The fourth week of pills can be omitted, as their purpose is only to keep one in the habit of taking the pill daily. Some birth control pills can also protect against acne, excessive hair growth, and premenstrual symptoms.
