Research Notes on Birth Control Implant
Birth control implant is a contraceptive method that involves implantation of the hormone progestin. The procedure is done by inserting 6 silicone rubber rods (about the size of matchsticks) under a woman's skin in the upper arm. Norplant and Implanon are common examples of birth control implants.
