Bipolar disorder in the workplace can cause stigma; you may be passed over for promotion or even demoted. If you do decide to tell your employer about your condition, you may be able to ask for accommodations at the office which can help you cope. Taking your medication and seeing your health care provider regularly can help to control your symptoms and make working easier.1
