Research Notes on Biofeedback for Chronic Pain
Biofeedback has been shown to help some patients who experience chronic pain. Biofeedback involves placing sensors on the body and connecting them to a monitor. Patients can monitor their breathing, blood flow, and other body functions during biofeedback sessions. Over time, patients can minimize their pain by learning to control the body functions that are associated with it.1
