Research Notes on Biofeedback for Anxiety Disorders
Biofeedback for anxiety disorders is one way for patients to relieve symptoms. Biofeedback uses instruments to increase awareness and control of your physiological performance. Biofeedback has been shown to reduce anxiety as well as relaxation techniques.1

- There are six feedback modalities electromyographic, skin conductance level, thermal, respiratory, heart rate, and neurofeedback.2
- Results are on a screen showing how the body responds to stressful situations.3
- With biofeedback the patient learn to modify changes, which in turn helps relieve anxiety.4
