Research Notes on Benefits of Bromelain
Bromelain supplements aid in digestion by breaking down proteins found in the digestive tract after a meal.1 Bromelain supplements may also reduce swelling, bruising, inflammation, and pain after surgery or injury. For those with sinusitis, bromelain may help reduce congestion, improve breathing, and suppress coughing.1 Bromelain may also help reduce pain associated with rheumatoid arthritis.2
