Food allergy is the body’s adverse reaction to a specific ingredient found in food. These are usually proteins, which can activate an immune response and may cause obvious symptoms, such as itchiness and abdominal discomfort. Research further suggests that there may be a link between food allergy and behavioral changes in children, where the signs and symptoms of food allergy are seen as changes in the pattern of behavior.
