Barry Bostwick is a well known actor and singer who is best known for his role in Spin City as the mayor of New York. He was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 1997 and had his prostate removed ten days later. President Clinton presented Barry with the "Courage Award" in recognition of his determination to reach others about the importance of early detection of prostate cancer. He has also been awarded the Gilda Radner Courage Award from the Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
