Vicodin is a narcotic analgesic that may be prescribed to patients for severe back pain.1 Vicodin is a brand name for the combined drugs hydrocodone, and acetaminophen.2 Because Vicodin has the potential to cause addiction, it's use should be regulated by your health care provider.3
