Research Notes on Augie's Quest
Augie's Quest was formed by Augie Nieto when he was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig's disease. Augie's Quest's focus is to find a cure for this debilitating, and often fatal, disease. Thanks to Augie's Quest, researchers have now isolated a gene mutation that is unique to sufferers of ALS.
