Atherosclerosis is where there is a build up in the arteries of fatty substances, cholesterol, cellular waste products and calcium. This causes a build up on the walls of the artery. Stress can increase the bood pressure and make the heart beat faster. This in turn may cause a heart attack due to lack of blood flow.
