Research Notes on Atacand Side Effects
As with all medications, there are possible unwanted side effects of Atacand. Some of the most common side effects of Atacand are low blood pressure, increased levels of potassium, and upper respiratory infection. Vertigo and hyperglycemia are some of the rare side effects of Atacand.1
Fast Facts:
- Atacan should not be taken during pregnancy because of the risk of harm to the fetus.2
- Dark urine, yellowing of the eyes, and abdominal pain are rare side effects of Atacand, and should be immediately reported to a health care provider.2
- Inflammation of the hands or feet should be reported to a doctor.3
- Atacand is a brand name for the drug candesartan, that is used to treat high blood pressure.
