Asthma Trigger Avoidance

Research Notes on Asthma Trigger Avoidance

Asthma is a chronic lung disease that causes airways to become inflamed due to allergens, leading to symptoms such as coughing, wheezing, and shortness of breath. The best way to prevent asthma attacks is to identify and avoid indoor and outdoor irritants such as cigarette smoke, rapid change in the environmental temperature, perfume, dusts, exercise, or stress. Although many people with asthma rely on medications to relieve the symptoms, prevention of allergens, low intensity exercise and proper diet, help lessen the possibility of asthma attacks.
