Research Notes on Artichoke Leaf Extract Side Effects
Many people have found artichoke leaf extract useful for treating ailments such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), heartburn, psoriasis, and high cholesterol. It has not been studied extensively, but there are some known possible side effects. Artichoke leaf extract may cause worsening of gallstones. Those allergic to chrysanthemums, daisies, ragweed or marigolds may also be allergic to artichoke leaf extract.1
