Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) causes inflammation, stiffness, and loss of function in the joints. Rheumatoid arthritis is a type of arthritis that attacks the lining of the joints eventually causing deformity. The most common joints that are affected by rheumatoid arthritis are the wrists and fingers.
