Research Notes on Aricept Drug Interactions
Patients using Aricept should be certain to inform physicians and pharmacists of all medications they are currently using and the dosages at which each medication is prescribed. The dosage of Aricept may need to be adjusted if patients are currently using medications such as aspirin, benztropine, diphenhydramine, bethanechol, carbamazepine, dexamethasone, and NSAID medications. It is important to inform your physician before changing the dosage of any medication you may be taking while using Aricept.1

- Other medications which can interact with Aricept include: atropine, belladonna, clidinium, dicyclomine, hyoscyamine, mepenzolate, quinidine, itraconazole, and rifampin.2
- Aricept works to improve the function of nerve cells within in the brain.2
- Donepezil is the generic form of Aricept.2
