Antiplatelets are drugs that help prevent blood_clots from forming in the blood vessels. They are prescribed to people who are most likely to have a heart_attack or stroke. Aspirin is the most widely prescribed, though other drugs may be given depending on the individual patient's needs. Antiplatelet medication should only be used under the supervision of a physician.
