Antioxidants and Prostate Cancer

GuideWisdom™

This WisdomCard managed by: Nicole Kinsey

Generally, antioxidants are known to fight against free radicals that cause cell damage in the body. However, there is not enough evidence to support the effectiveness of antioxidants contained in supplements to prevent prostate cancer. Hence, antioxidant-rich foods should remain part of one's diet; studies confirm anti-oxidants present in food are more effective than those in supplements in the protection against cancer and other diseases.
